Dr Bianca Haas is an Ocean Nexus Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Her research focuses on equitable management of transboundary fisheries, especially the tuna fishery in the western and central Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean.
She is especially interested in the question of how to empower and support coastal developing States in fisheries management organizations.
As part of the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS), Bianca also engages in many different projects covering issues such as climate change, crew welfare, and capacity building. Although having grown up in a landlocked country, Bianca is very passionate about the ocean.
